SCARING WILD LIFE
On Friday I was over at the incredible Saltmarshe Hall with Pamela & Thomas for their spectacular wedding. Exploring the eclectic grounds with these two led to pure magic around every corner. & of course that is no surprise with a couple looking as frickin cool as these two.
After a morning spent photographing all that getting ready awesomeness with Vicki Suddaby - Makeup and Hair working her magic. It was time for an outdoor ceremony in the dramatic walled gardens of this picturesque venue. You guys have to check out the beautiful flowers by the amazing Rosebuds. Which did their bit alongside the golden dinosaurs to transform Satmarshe into the couples own pocket of Yorkshire to celebrate with those that matter most.
After some hilarious speeches I headed out with the bridal party to set off some blue smoke bombs, scare the wild life & capture those final Summer colours as the sun dipped below the horizon. & in those final moments on the dance floor surrounded my their family & friends. It was clear that their adventure had only just begun.
Here's to Pamela & Tom.
SHUTTER GO... LOST & FOUND
It may be a day late. Although who the Hell is keeping track of my activities because I'm not. Yes indeedy its time show off those couple of photographs that didn't make the previews & may have not seen the light of day over on Facey B the place to be. It's time for Lost & Found (Insert theme tune here & pics of my face)
The first image was one of beautiful Bride Pam on her lonesome in the fully blooming gardens of Saltmarshe. (Sorry Tom it ain't all about you pal) Again it's all about the incredible nature fuelled colours, the symmetry & of course, if I see trees overhead I'm gonna prism them in at the bottom for that rainbow embossed sparkle stick magic. I also adore Hydrangeas which I think they are in the background. If I'm wrong... soz. But if I'm right, just call me Charlie Dimmock with more man nipple. Hells yeah!
The second moment is actually one of my favourites from the entire AWESOME wedding. Just before I took the 'posed' or 'set up' image I fired the shutter & they both had their eyes closed. Every time I look at it I get Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue Where the Wild Roses Grow in my head. Sorry guys no Jason Donavan this time but I still wrote this entire post ESPECIALLY FOR YOU... Dad jokes.
Number three is just a candid & simple moment with Pam & her new Grandad in law. It needs no real description other than I was having a cheeky cig & talking to someone when out of the corner of my eye... EMOTION... EMOTION. & I ran like I always run. Like some graceful camera wielding cat figure crossed with a vulture. (Actual appearance may vary) & got the shot. Then I realised one of Pam's mates had burst into tears in the foreground. Panic set in, I need more arms. I need more cameras. I must catch all the tears in my mug of memories. But I still love the image. The hands. The faces. One to treasure me thinks.
So that's ya lot you greedy buggers. What do you mean I can't call you greedy? What do you mean you never asked me to write this? My cat told me you asked for it. I will be having words with him. Silly fluffy kitty of lies with his whiskers of deceit.
Anyway, wedding tomorrow & I need to iron me under crackers. Ok bye then.
