SAGA OF THE LONE WOLF
I have a confession to make. I've always been a pretty solitary creature. I tend to thrive working on my own which is one of the reasons being self employed is perfect for me. Once I hit that weekend though, It's a whole different ball game. I've made more friends doing this job than I ever thought I would. Georgia & Bob are just two of those people that I feel like I have grown with on the lead up to their most magnificent of days.
I find it amazing the sense of connection you can build with a couple before their wedding. A connection that can truly reflect not just the event as it happens, but also give a sense of feeling. A feeling of time, of place & of two peoples love for one another.
Georgia & Bob hit the awesome Victoria Hall for their ceremony before a killer party over at Bradford City's Valley Parade. Hell yeah, I only ended up in another bloody football stadium. Before you know it I'll be a pie eating beer swilling hooligan.
As a life long Bradford fan, Bob got to stand in a stadium where he had grown up watching his heroes. But this time there were no fans, No referees, No players... Just a couple of love struck humans right at the centre of each others everything.
There's no substitute for that...
Bob & Georgia were the best team this pitch has ever seen...
This wedding was another first for me. & after consistent begging finally paid off. I took on the awesome Alex Ivory as an assistant for the day. When I started Shutter Go Click it was my baby & it still is. I could never see the possibility of anyone carrying my bags let alone second shoot at a wedding. But having Alex around was awesome.
Right towards the end of the wedding we were given the opportunity to get on the pitch. I had an idea to get the couple right in the centre from up in the back seats. When the chance came to take the shot I was in the wrong place at the wrong time & Alex got it in the bag. That's his image right below & there's a couple of others scattered in the full gallery too. Edited by me but shot by an awesome photographer in his own right.
This is probably the only time I'll feature another photographer on my site, But the dude most definitely deserves it. Thanks for an awesome day man! Hope I managed to impart a couple of fragments of my limited wisdom.
Oh yeah & welcome to the world of wedding photography... The best damn job you'll ever have
PS Spot the other frame from Alex of me in my natural group shot taking habitat... Saucy!
