LET ME TAKE A SELFIE
Now some of you might remember when I first spent time with the beyond awesome Scott & Alice a little while ago on their engagement shoot. It was single handedly the worst weather I have ever taken photographs in. So much so that when I got home I looked like I'd come straight out of the bog of eternal stench. Not like David Bowie & his incredible hypnotic crotch but more like a feral goblin soaked to his under crackers.
Of course with such a special bond between me & these two lovely humans. I couldn't frickin wait to spend an entire day with them in the hot Summer sun amidst The Hideaway at Baxby Manor in an incredible set up by PapaKåta! Now let me just mention the food real quick. With Scott been a chef he made sure that everyone there had the most spectacular meal in wedding history catered by the truly mouth watering The Hog and Apple Food Company. I was gonna make a point of photographing every course beginning with the starter but it was so damn good I forgot all the rest. Oops!
With emotional first looks from Alice's dad & Scott right up to the kids finding a 4 leaf clover! Yesterday really was just a special wedding to be a part of. The one moment that caught me right off guard was Scott's mention of me in the speeches. Which lead to attempting to perform a selfie right in the middle of proceedings. Don't miss my giant blurry head somewhere in the middle of the for your viewing pleasure. It's a good job the rest of the pics are better ;-)
When I left yesterday Scott said to me "Ryan it feels like we've known you for years" & apart from staring into his bedroom window every night it has only been just a few months. It's through those shared experiences where bonds are made. & with Scott & Alice I feel like I've made two friends through the power of a few clicks of the button.
Oh & what about the weather you ask? Well it hammered it down again of course. But the main thing is I sure as hell knew these guys were game to brave the elements.
Here's to the incredible Scott & Alice.
